Inhalt
This animation consists of two parts: part 1 introduces common hazards in the work environment that can lead to dangerous working conditions, and how to prevent them. It also shows the standard “good practice” in a hospital setting to prevent these occupational accidents. The second part promotes general health topics so that HCWs can improve their general health through their work, not damage it.
Ziel und Zweck
The occupational risks of on-the-job injuries and other ailments for healthcare workers are as high as for industrial workers, and shockingly, these are usually completely neglected. However, many of these risks are preventable. What is crucial is that this population recognizes the hazards in their work environment. Training in occupational health and safety issues through multimedia is one effective way to motivate workers to recognize and prevent possible problems while at the same time promoting good health.
Video animation, this kind of media instruction fits this target group. HCWs have high workloads and little time to consider the negative health effects of their work. Animated instruction saves time and cost, and is more interesting than in-house training. In addition, HCWs can learn these lessons anywhere and anytime. In a study, our team established that nurses who watched video animation both increased their knowledge and positive attitude toward occupational health and safety in hospital.
Zielgruppe
The target group is healthcare workers, particularly, nurses, who represent the major healthcare providers in a hospital or healthcare setting.
