‘How do I feel?…How would you feel?…You decide….It’s your choice.’ The client wants to bring the project in a year early. Is this feasible? If it isn’t, then why doesn’t anybody say so? And how might this decision affect those working on the frontline? A pop-up, multimedia, interactive 90-minute session, YOUR CHOICE combines filmed drama, live action and facilitated discussion, and seeks answers to urgent questions around leadership and responsibility and their impact on safety at all levels of an organisation. The session examines a number of factors that lead to a near-fatal accident and the cultural issues that allow the contributory hazards to go unchallenged. Participants experience the build-up to the accident, they are witnesses to the accident itself, and taste for themselves some of its immediate and long-term consequences.

Ziel und Zweck

Everyone is responsible for workplace safety and behaviour. Everyone is a safety leader. Don't be afraid to challenge, whatever your role and wherever you are in the workforce chain.

In march 2016, a national Charta “VISION ZERO“ has been signed by several stakeholders in Luxembourg (the Ministries of Social Security, Labour, Employment, Health, Transport, Home Affairs, Public Service, the main national trade unions, the national employers’ organizations and the Accident Insurance Association) with the aim of decreasing the number and gravity of accidents at work, commuting accidents and occupational diseases. For the period 2016-2022, the national objective is to reduce by 20% the frequency rate of work related accidents compared to 2014. Over the medium and long term, the objective remains the continuous decrease of severe and fatal accidents, meaning zero casualty and zero seriously injured worker. In order to achieve these national goals, the signatories have committed themselves to develop and implement individual action plans. The latter also applies for companies, who may file their action plan on the VISION ZERO platform. A five-year media campaign will be launched at the beginning of the year 2017.
