Inhalt

“What comes first” portrays the events that unfold onsite between two working teams feeling both the pressure of organisational production, and the self-generated target of impressing others. The content is rich in its demonstration of both positive and negative working and leadership styles, with particular focus on five essential and non-negotiable behaviours, applied into working life.

Ziel und Zweck

The film aims to convey the message that workplace safety within an organisation can really only be guaranteed when all workers adopt safe behaviours in a spontaneous, instinctive and natural manner. In other words, safety has to become an integral part of the way of thinking and acting of each individual, both in the workplace and in everyday life. Therefore, the purpose of the film is to spread five key behaviours, or Leading Behaviours, throughout the entire workforce. They have been selected by a team of HSE managers and specialists and are recognised as essential to achieving the "vision" of an accident-free culture. Its purpose is also to demonstrate, through clear and concrete examples, the benefits that result from adopting these behaviours and, conversely, the potential negative consequences of violating them.

The film was produced to support the "Leading Behaviours" campaign, one of the phases that make up the "Leadership in Health and Safety" (LiHS) programme, a process of cultural change in the field of health and safety created and developed internally at Saipem. The idea of producing a film arose out of the various needs identified. First of all, using a film with a high emotional impact, which deals with events and touches on topics that people can relate to, regardless of their nationality or the activities they perform, is in line with the approach adopted by the LiHS ("Leadership in Health and Safety") programme. This programme identifies emotional involvement as a key factor that is capable of overcoming cultural barriers, motivating people to change and influencing long-term behaviour. In addition, the multimedia content constitutes a practical support that can be distributed to managers, who use parts of the film specifically designed as a tool and an opportunity to convey solid messages of leadership in safety to their teams.

Zielgruppe

The film "What comes first" is aimed at everyone who works in and for the organisation throughout the world - employees, contractors and subcontractors alike - whatever their level and role. The goal is to reach the widest possible number of people and, in
