From taking extra time to balance heavy food orders or carefully watching for obstacles ahead to avoid slips and falls, delivery drivers need to be able to quickly assess the situation, identify hazards, and take steps to avoid harm.
Aims and objectives
There are more delivery drivers on the roads today bringing food to homes and businesses throughout British Columbia. The goals were to increase the awareness of the importance of ongoing risk assessments while on the job, common types of hazards, and to encourage ongoing risk assessments to increase safety and reduce injuries.
