P.O.Y.O (“Proud of you Own") is one of the best motivational and promotional short film which focuses on the aspect of safety for all workers including the disabled people. This short film was produced on 23rd February 2023 by Panca Delima PERKESO (Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial or internationally known as Social Security Organisation) Kuala Lumpur, with the passion to promotes awareness on the safety, health, and well-being aspect at the workplace.

Aims and objectives

P.O.Y.O ("Proud of your Own") plot involves around the ordinary workplace setting with different perception, acceptance, and stigma of workers with disability. Together with the spirit of “No One Left Behind” and “Look at the Ability & Not Disability”, we believe that all people at the workplace including the vulnerable individuals like disabled person, young workers, pregnant women, migrant workers, etc. should be treated with equality and inclusivity. Furthermore, preventive measures taken at the workplace including using of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), accessible facilities, safe workstation and road accident prevention actions also indirectly displayed in this short film to encourage the importance of practicing safety and health for the overall workforce. POYO is a local slang that often used by Malaysian especially by young people that refers to someone’s “overreacting” or “arrogant” characteristics. Uniquely the title of P.O.Y.O itself can be interpreted to other quotes of “Proud of your Own” which describes on how people with disability should believe and be proud of themselves because “Disability is Not an Obstacle for Success” ! Therefore, it is everybody role and commitment to advocates harmony and positive workplace culture so that each worker can work with respectful manner as well as improving the well-being and lives of workers everywhere.
