A voice-over commentary allows us to follow the feelings and actions of 5 companies committed to a collective and simultaneous preventative approach to MSD on a regional scale.

Aims and objectives

With regard to the real social problem of musculo-skeletal disorders (MSD), a mobilisation is necessary. The MEEF (House of Employment, Company and Training) of the Pays de Vitré in partnership with Carsat Bretage, Aract and Direccte has wished to accompany the companies in the implementation of a preventative approach to MSD. 5 companies of the Pays de Vitré (Délices du Val Plessis, Fromapac, Oberthur, Traiteurs de Paris, les Vergers de Chateaubourg) express their awareness and satisfaction concerning concrete positive results.

The film format has been chosen because of its simple use for a public of contractors and persons responsible for professional risk prevention in companies. It follows the experiences of 5 companies in their fight against MSD. The format of 202 minutes makes it possible to tackle this difficult subject and to encourage other companies to follow their example. In order to achieve this, concrete realisations requiring management committment upstream and also an analysis of the working situations were shown. The film shows the importance of dialogue within the company and the interest in a participatory approach with the employee as expert in his field. These experiences show that in order to be sustainable, an approach to MSD prevention must trigger activities in different fields: from technical to organisational aspects. It is about modifying posts and work tools, but also about creating a constructive and organisational link between the functions and the services of the company. In the long run, this preventative approach, durable and participative, is included in the project of each company.
