Safe Work Australia broadcasts free online seminars that showcase the latest thinking, research, developments and best practice in work health and safety. Our seminars cover a range of work safety topics – including the latest research on psychosocial risks, occupational violence experienced by first responders, work safety in remote Indigenous communities, to workplace fatigue, and handling hazardous chemicals. They come in a variety of formats, from live broadcasts, to videos, podcasts, infographics and research papers. Our seminars are for people who want work to be healthy, safe and productive, by OSH experts, business leaders, academics and work health and safety experts sharing ideas, experiences, skills and knowledge to improve the lives of Australian workers. The seminars are free and always available on the Safe Work Australia website, YouTube, Soundcloud and iTunes. Each seminar comes with a range of supporting materials including transcripts, case studies, research and resources. Safe Work Australia regularly broadcasts free online seminars that showcase the latest thinking, research, developments and best practice in work health and safety. From live panel discussions to videos, webinars, podcasts, reports and infographics, our seminars feature business leaders, academics and work health and safety experts sharing ideas, experiences, skills and knowledge to improve the safety of all workers. All seminars are available as a free and lasting resource at www.seminars.swa.gov.au, YouTube and Soundcloud, and can be viewed on any device.

The Virtual Seminar Series is a key activity under Australia’s ten-year work health and safety strategy. http://www.safeworkaustralia.gov.au/sites/swa/australian-strategy/pages/australian-strategy The seminars: - educate those who influence good work health and safety practices, - raise awareness of work health and safety amongst a broad, influential audience, - demonstrate best practice, - present robust evidence, data and research, - showcase innovation, - feature key work health and safety leaders and organisations, and - build partnerships between Safe Work Australia, stakeholders and influencers. The seminars are free and open to the public. Accessible from www.seminars.swa.gov.au, YouTube, Soundcloud and iTunes, each seminar is accompanied by a range of supporting materials, including transcripts, case studies and research. All seminars meet the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) at level AA. Seminars can be live broadcasts, videos, webinars or webcasts, podcasts, infographics or publications, and the Agency remains open to creative ideas or suggestions regarding seminar format. Successive evaluations found the event to be highly successful. Each year, the event met and exceeded its objectives, and qualitative feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants consistently indicating that they enjoyed and valued the seminars.
