Descripción del producto
A worker is injured at work and his wife and young daughter receive the news as he is airlifted by helicopter to hospital. WorkSafe engaged industry partners to provide research and anecdotal information to create a television message to show the emotional impact of a manufacturing injury. Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) donated the air ambulance used in the production of this commercial. STARS paramedics acted in the ad and provided technical direction and the medical props in order for WorkSafe to produce an accurate message. The ad was filmed on site at a local manufacturer. The company's safety advisor was on site throughout filming and acted as technical advisor. Some employees also starred in the message.
Objetivos y metas
• Zero injuries is the only right number. • Zero injuries, zero fatalities, zero suffering. • Injuries impact more than just the injured worker.
Background: The province of Saskatchewan, Canada, is the second-worst in the country for workplace injuries. TV remains the highest cited source where people remember seeing workplace safety advertising. The June 2013 WorkSafe Saskatchewan survey indicated that 75% of people heard workplace safety advertising through television and could recall ads from specific WorkSafe Saskatchewan messages.
