The Safety Day video uses three scenarios to deliver the safety message about the importance of watching out for fellow workers, personal protective equipment, and the consequences of not doing the right thing. Lockheed Martin created the videos to provide the viewer with everyday situations they see in the work place. One scenario includes a failed lifting sling, causing the load to land upon an employee’s foot. The investigation ensues demonstrating how PPE could have avoided the consequences of the injury. Another scenario demonstrates the hazards of not carefully reading chemical labels and the possible consequences. The third scenario demonstrates an employee aware of his surroundings and speaking up quickly and decisively to save his co-worker from harm.

Objectif et finalité

Provides a creative message to employees about the importance of inspecting their work areas for hazards; ensuring co-workers are safe; and the consequences of not doing the right thing.

When Lockheed Martin Aeronautic employees return from the holiday break at the end of each year, we want to establish a reminder about the importance of safe behaviors and start the year off safely.
