Product description

Owner of the video is CNFL (Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz S.A.), with the participation of several teams. Original idea by Luis Enrique Vargas Barrientos and Azzuhara Ramírez Jiménez, both from the Occupational Health and Safety department. A gif explaining in detail what a near miss is and how it is managed using the digital form either on the INTRANET platform or on the SOMOS CNFL APP.

Aims and objectives

Introduce workers to the digital tools for managing a work-related incident known as a near miss by means of a form on the Intranet and on the APP. Raise awareness among workers of the steps to manage a near miss arising from or in the course of work where no injury or health impairment has occurred, but which has the potential to cause one. Introduce to the working population through promotional actions the importance of reporting the near miss. The goal of this activity is for company personnel to manage the steps when a near miss occurs, by means of the digital form found on the Intranet or found on the SOMOS CNFL APP. Why is it important to report a near miss? Reporting a near miss is very important to ensure continuous improvement and to try to ensure that a similar event does not happen again and, if it does happen, that the damage is less. The web form is available on: • Computer: On the intranet -> Bienestar Fuerza y Luz -> Formularios Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo -> Reportar un Casi Casi. • Mobile: In the application Somos CNFL -> Servicios -> Reportar Casi Casi. When entering describe the situation that occurred, explaining the potential hazards of harm to the safety and health of workers, proposals for improvement and actions taken. Once you have completed the form and submitted it, the final report will be sent to the immediate supervisor, prevention staff stationed in the Management Department and to the Occupational Health and Safety Department.
