The video clips are the stories of Eni workers during their typical working day. During their activity an unforeseen event occurred which unfortunately led to the death or the injury of the workers. But what would have happened if they had been put in place different choices and behaviors? In the video, as a “rewind”, the tape goes back and shows the correct behavior that could have avoid the tragic event.

Aims and objectives

The purpose is to use video clips as a further support for the dissemination of safety culture and correct behavior. The videos were created as a new tool for enhancing workers awareness on lesson learned arisen form the investigation carried out after incidents really happened in Eni. Since the main cause of injuries is the human factor, we can learn and improve from the mistakes and with the adoption of correct behavior, only by sharing of the lesson learned and analyzing the identified corrective and preventive actions.

The video clips presented are two of the five videos realized by Eni HSEQ Department in 2016 as part of the "Inside lessons learned" project, born with the aim to develop new initiatives to raise awareness in safety: - “Back to safe”, multiple fatality due to Asphyxiation; - “Own goal”, fatal injury due to crushing during handling of material; - “I wait for you”, multiple injury–hit by; - “Overload”, fatal injury during lifting operations; - “A safe recipe”, injury that caused - amputation. These videos are taken from real incidents happened in Eni premises and have been entirely realized and developed with internal resources, involving Eni employees and contractors as actors.
