Christian Casiraghi has been working, since 1994, as a pastry chef in an ancient café in Milan. In 2017, while returning from work, he suffered an injury that caused him to amputate his right leg. Inail accompanied him on a path of rehabilitation and resumption of social and working life. Inail’s Prosthesis Center in Vigorso di Budrio provides him with the necessary prostheses and aids to regain autonomy. Thanks to a personalized project of work reintegration, the spaces of the laboratory have been adapted and Christian is back to do his job.
Aims and objectives
The aim is to inform workers and employers of the support measures set up by the Institute to ensure that workers, who have suffered an accident or an occupational disease, continue to work or are entering a new job, through personalised work reintegration projects. The initiative also aims to highlight the convenience of access to these measures for employers, who can proceed to the adaptation of workplaces or activate professional retraining processes.
