If you have any questions or need further information, please email me at jasmeen.daji@iosh.co.uk or phone on +44 (0)116 257 3258. The second phase of IOSH’s No Time to Lose campaign focused on raising awareness of skin cancer caused by solar radiation exposure at work. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world. The main cause of skin cancer is exposure to damaging UV rays from the sun. In Britain alone, around 50 workers a year die from skin cancer caused by solar radiation exposure. IOSH developed the ‘Sun safety in construction’ film in partnership with The University of Nottingham to help raise awareness of how solar radiation can cause skin cancer, to educate workers on how they can protect themselves, and how to check the skin to identify the tell-tale signs of cancer. For more information about the solar radiation of the No Time to Lose campaign, please visit http://www.notimetolose.org.uk/Free-resources/Resource-library/Pack-2-Solar.aspx
