Product description
As an example we would like to present five infographics and a poster that emphasize the importance of workers safety and protection. The first infographic ("eyes") highlights the significance of eye protection not only at the place of work but also at home and in everyday life. It describes how to act in case you have an object in your eyes or in case of minor injuries. Basics about the functioning of the eyes and about eye injuries are indicated as additional information. There are also "5 steps for healthy eyes". We have prepared a removable brochure about goggles based on this infographic that is to remind workers to protect their eyes. The second infographic presents the occupational health and safety policy ("policy") of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. which says that every employee working at KGHM has the right to work in a safe working environment. It emphasizes that occupational health and safety rules take priority, that risky behaviour is not tolerated, that every person is responsible for health and safety, that there is a continuous search for innovation, that workers should act when they note a violation of safety rules and that the company cares for the health of its workers. The images are hand-made and were edited using digital techniques. The third infographic shows basic data about work-related fatigue ("fatigue") - definition, research, consequences of the fatigue, solutions and activities to reduce the feeling of fatigue. At the end different nap types are presented to raise the individual level of energy. The images are hand-made and were edited using digital techniques. The last infographic deals with hearing protection ("hearing"). It is highlighted that hearing damage is irreversible. The infographic includes basic data, statistics, definitions, research, a diagram indicating the frequency and volume of the sounds of objects in our environment, consequences of noise and protection measures. It is stressed that prevention or medical exams and hearing protection form the basis for hearing protection. We also prepared several maps ("map") of cities in which departments of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. are located. The departments feature sports halls, sports facilities, gyms and sports grounds, etc. to popularize physical activity as it is beneficial to health. The poster ("together") shows three workers that were drawn by hand - a foundry worker, a miner and a person working in the administration. The slogan incorporated in the poster includes a pun in the Polish language. It emphasizes that all employees have to work together and that all workers are responsible for their own health and safety and for that of their colleagues.
Aims and objectives
Product - digital posters and infographics. This activity aims at increasing the knowledge and awareness of workers regarding the risks that arise in the work process.
KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. (KGHM) is a multidisciplinary company that consists of 10 divisions with different production operations, including 3 underground mines, 1 opencast mine and 3 copper works, a division for mining waste management and an ore upgrading division. The risks different departments face are distinguished based on the special production processes. For several years now KGHM has been launching different initiatives with the aim of increasing the level of health and safety at work. These initiatives are associated with valuable results: reduction of accidents and improvement of occupational health and safety and professional diseases indicators. The results that have been obtained so far are due to the implementation of programmes based on management systems and technical solutions. Still, these measures are not sufficient and need to be complemented by activities that focus on a comprehensive safety culture. The new forms of communication are a key element of this safety culture.
